YONECO in partnership with One to One Children’s Fund from UK conducted an Inception Meeting in Lilongwe for a newly introduced two-and-a-half-year project called ‘Connect Malawi’.
The project targets young people who are within the age range 15 and 24. The goal of the project is to improve access to adolescent youth friendly health information and services and promote ART treatment adherence among young people living with HIV. Furthermore, Connect Malawi project will be implemented in communities surrounding Area 18, Bwaila and Tsabango Health facilities which are under Lilongwe District Health Office (DHO).
During the inception meeting also doubled as a validation workshop for a baseline line which the two (YONECO and One to One Children’s Fund) organizations conducted.
Among other people, the function was attended by various stakeholders including government officials from the ministry of Health and Population.
